Yoga Nidra
“Through the practice of Yoga Nidra we are not only relaxing, but restructuring and reforming our whole personality from within”
- Swami Satyananda Saraswati
Yoga is a state of union and Nidra means sleep. Yoga Nidra is sleep with awareness, so the body sleeps but the mind remains awake. The purpose of Yoga Nidra is to develop the levels of the mind, expand dimensions of consciousness and, ultimately, to take you to a state where you are completely united with your inner self. The highest state of Yoga Nidra is called Sleepless Sleep and is the superconscious state. Through regular practice, inner knowledge naturally arises and, in general, more clarity, focus and creativity are induced as it has a deep cleansing effect on the subconscious strata of the Mind.

All in all, Yoga Nidra is a proven method of inducing physical & nervous tranquility with so many benefits.
Reducing & relieving chronic tension as it does, inner peace naturally arises.
Beyond that, it immediately improves sleep, helps relieve pain, assists in the management of addictions and can be used as a psychological support for any course of self improvement or therapy one might be undertaking.
It's wonderful during pregnancy, great for children, management of ADHD, Anxiety & other common disorders. It has also been used as a healing practice for people living with cancer and, in some living with acquired brain injury, it has reinvigorated movement in dormant body parts.
We truly believe that everyone would benefit from this practice.
Yoga Nidra is also incorporated into our Rest & Relax classes..

Sow an action and reap a habit.
Sow a habit and reap a character.
Sow a character and reap a destiny.”
