About Lynn..

Yoga is my life practice.

My journey with Yoga began in my early 30s when I went to my first general class to help a lower back issue.  That was quickly remedied, and due to my wonderfully knowledgeable Teacher, I discovered that Yoga is so much more than a physical practice.  Getting a glimpse of the richness of Yoga I decided to train to become a Yoga Teacher, followed by becoming a Foundation and Diploma Course Tutor for the prestigious British Wheel of Yoga, facilitating many of their courses.

My particular interest is in the workings of the mind and I am passionate about the need for learning the art of Relaxation.  So, following intensive training with the Satyananda and Bihar School of Yoga I became a Yoga Nidra Practitioner and Teacher.

In 1999 I began my Reiki attunements, which had such a profound effect on my life.  I am now a Reiki Master and attune and teach others to use this wonderful healing energy.

As an Intuitive Healer, I have a number of tools to choose from during healing sessions.  Reiki, Tuning Forks and other Sound using crystal and tibetan bowls and drum, also incorporating Shamanic practices where needed.  Often working on a one-to-one basis, using whichever technique relevant at the time of the session.

Meditation has also been a large part of my own learning and healing and I, together with my partner Jon, now run Meditation Groups in Poole.

About Jon..

Though my interest in all things spiritual has been lifelong, my fascination with the Mind in particular began while receiving a course of Hypnotherapy at fifteen. Out of that grew a keen interest in Meditation, which firmly took root in my very early twenties. After a period of time of attempting to practice without instruction, I realised that I needed training and, so, became a monk in the Kagyu lineage of Himalayan Buddhism. I practiced and studied wholeheartedly for two years and then returned to lay life.

Meditation has continued to be my greatest passion and I have continued to practice one form or another in the intervening years while employed in a variety of roles, including facilitating classes in Meditation, Indian Clubs and Steel Mace Flow, as well as working in Mental Health, Criminal Justice & Community.

A natural born Healer, I nevertheless went on to train in ‘M’ Technique massage therapy in 2012 and in Reiki & Yoga Nidra in more recent times. Though I have practiced extensively in the tradition of the Yuthok Nyinthig in latter years & have a deep love for the profound traditions of Mahamudra & Dzogchen in particular, having experienced the depths of other traditions to some degree, I cannot claim to be exclusively Buddhist and do not represent a particular lineage when teaching though the basis of what I share cannot help but be somewhat heavily informed by my training & practice experience.

Nothing pleases me more in life than connecting with others and co-creating ways towards their own well-being, healing and innate goodness.

Yoga Dorset

Founded and operated by Lynn since 2015, Yoga Dorset has provided regular classes, courses, events & retreats on Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Tuning Forks, Spiritual Development & Tarot Reading in and around Dorset.

Partnership with Jon began in mid 2025 after finding that our training and teaching styles were complementary -rather than precisely the same - and, ultimately, springing from the same root.

Our desire is for Healing to reach as far and wide as possible, particular into the most hidden, deprived corners of life.

COLLABORATION - Co-creation and collaboration are the future, we feel, so we welcome contact from other practitioners/studios if you feel that we have something to contribute to your mix or vice versa.

HOSTING - being the custodians of two meeting spaces - one being just under two acres of land we are developing near the Purbeck Hills - we are willing to discuss the hosting of your event, should it resonate with our own values.
